gotta love Independence Day.. one of the best movies evaaarrr. hehe.
Tom and I did ‘Chelsea’ Saturday afternoon and we totally rocked it until around 10 p that night when I had to cover an overnight shift for my sister at the restaurant that I am for some reason still on the payroll. I can’t even remember what we did friday.. I think we ran?? oh yeah, we sprinted with the pups about 1.11 miles. I’m trying to up my pace from a sloth-like 10 min/mile to probably 7 min/mile. I’m at 8 min/mile so I’m getting there!
ANYWAYS! quads, tris, bis, and glutes are still pretty sore today. I’m sure it didn’t help that I didn’t go to sleep until about 7:30 a yesterday, slept about 4 hours, woke up, walked the VVS xc course, swam, didn’t eat (I don’t have an appetite when I’m that tired and/or sleep deprived) and went back to bed at 7:00 p. now it’s 7:30 a and I’m awake but sooooreeeeeee, ugh! Tom is heading to the links trail to go run with doc and bennati. I considered it, but I think I may just do some boring yoga and stretching today and maybe even get some stuff done around the house. considering making some coconut griddle cakes later for ‘breakfast for lunch’!! definitely cooking clams on the grill later with some bacon-wrapped asparagus and kale chips. strawberries, blueberries, and a paleo-friendly italian dressing salad with avocado, tomato, white onion, broccoli and cauliflower. yayyy oh yeah, I have it all planned out ;o)
